• ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Gilbert helped Indiana win the team title in the Midwest Meet of Champions, which brings together top senior athletes from Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. He won the discus competition with a throw of 171 feet, 7 inches in rainy conditions. The two-time IHSAA state discus champion went undefeated in the event over his final two years of high school competition. He will continue his career at the University of Indianapolis.
