BOYS TRACK - Kokomo 84.5, Anderson 55, Western 27.5 Kokomo got a triple-winner performance from Tony Moses, two wins from Waylon Coulter and the Kats swept the field events in taking a three-team season-opening meet at Walter Cross Field. Moses won the 100 in 12.08, set an even faster pace in the 200 with a first-place time of 24.03, and barely fell off that pace in the 400, taking first in a blazing 51.09. Coulter won the high jump with a leap of 5-10 and won the 800 in 2:09.20. Christian Collins won the shot put with an effort of 44 feet, 9 inches, Darrion McAlister won discus (136-11). Harvey Lenoir won the long jump (19-2 1/2 ). Anthony Barrett won pole jump (10-6) and Taylor Killings won the 110 hurdles (15.22). For Western, Matt Grider won the 1,600 and 3,200 runs. |
