GIRLS TRACK - Western 87.5, Peru 29.5

The Panthers (3-3) won seven events, led by a quadruple winner in Natylee Nation, who won the 100 hurdles (:18.17), the 300 hurdles (:50.87), the high jump (4-10) and the long jump (15-11).

Caily Tanner won the shot put (35-8) and discus (99-4), and Corinna Cottingham rounded out Western's winners in the pole vault (10-0).

"I think we are going to change our name to Western girls field and track," Western coach Joni McCracken quipped. "If you look at us, we took all the field events, and that was the highlight.

"Nation did an excellent job. She's seeing that she can compete with some of the bigger schools. She seemed to rise to the occasion, and more that's nice to see."
